Role accountabilities:

As an Electrical Design Manager, you will be responsible for the coordinated design and planning of electrical systems in Data Centers.

  • Manage the design of electrical systems for Data Centers, with a focus on efficiency, redundancy, and safety.
  • Guide a team of engineers and technicians to develop technical solutions for Data Center electrical infrastructure, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Develop electrical designs suitable for Data Centers and other critical environments, incorporating energy-efficient technologies and the latest industry trends.
  • Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other specialists to ensure integrated design solutions that meet project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, technical regulations, and safety requirements in electrical design.
  • Manage budgets, allocate resources, and report progress to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's, Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in designing and managing electrical systems for complex projects, ideally with a focus on Data Centers or other large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of energy-efficient electrical systems and industry trends.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards in electrical safety and fire protection, particularly for large-scale electrical designs.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other planning tools.
  • Strong technical understanding, analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to coordinate planning and implementation processes while collaborating with various disciplines and external service providers.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts in an understandable manner and communicate effectively with team members and external partners.
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal, is essential.
  • Willingness to regularly travel within Germany and abroad as required for project demands.
