Role accountabilities:

As a Design Manager – Fire Safety, you will play a critical role in the planning, design, and implementation of fire protection and safety systems. You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver innovative solutions that guarantee the safety and operational reliability of high-tech facilities.

• Planning and design of fire protection and safety systems for various high-tech data center construction projects.
• Development of fire protection and safety concepts in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Selection and specification of fire protection and safety equipment and systems.
• Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure alignment and seamless integration of fire safety measures.
• Conduct risk assessments and analyses to identify hazards and develop appropriate protective measures.
• Monitor the implementation of fire protection and safety measures during the construction phase.
• Document and report on the progress of fire protection and safety planning.
• Ensure that all fire safety systems meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and compliance, contributing to the overall success of data center projects.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's, Master's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Fire Protection, Safety Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in the design and implementation of fire protection and safety systems, ideally with a focus on Data Centers or other large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards in the field of fire protection and safety.
• Proficiency in using CAD software and other planning tools.
• Strong understanding of fire protection systems, hazard analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail in planning and execution.
• Team-oriented working style, with the ability to manage and coordinate stakeholders across various disciplines.
• Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal, is essential.
• Willingness to regularly travel within Germany and abroad as required for project demands.
