Responsibilities

• Development and optimization of multi-stage syntheses and purification processes for ceramides
• Independent planning, implementation and evaluation of experimental programs for ceramide development
• Creation and development of documents, including safe workflows, risk assessments and work instructions in accordance with EHSQ protocols.
• Implementation of practice-oriented laboratory programs to demonstrate process feasibility
• Design and implementation of scale-up processes and production transfers.
• Communication and reporting of results in meetings
• Proactive literature review and analysis of the IP landscape to identify new ceramides and their applications in cosmetics
  
  

Requirements

• Completed doctoral studies in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field with a focus on organic chemistry
• Sound knowledge and practical experience in organic chemistry as well as in the synthesis of ceramides
• Experience in purification technologies such as crystallization, chromatography, extraction, as well as analytical methods such as NMR, GPC, HPLC, and DSC
• Confident handling of PC applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in using database and analysis tools to evaluate experimental results
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
• Independent way of working, ability to work in a team as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills to present projects as well as reliability and resilience
