Your Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Transport Excellence (m/f/d) to lead and drive transport operations across the EMEA Central region. As the primary point of contact for all transport excellence matters, you will oversee transport projects on a sub-regional basis, manage fleet operations, and lead the central logistics administration. You will also be responsible for managing transport cost topics and ensuring excellence activities related to transport are effectively executed.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Transport Excellence (m/f/d) to lead and drive transport operations across the EMEA Central region. As the primary point of contact for all transport excellence matters, you will oversee transport projects on a sub-regional basis, manage fleet operations, and lead the central logistics administration. You will also be responsible for managing transport cost topics and ensuring excellence activities related to transport are effectively executed.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all transport excellence issues in EMEA Central, providing expert guidance and leadership across the region.
- Manage and support transport projects on a sub-regional level, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Lead fleet management operations and oversee the central logistics administration to optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency.
- Take ownership of all transport-related cost topics, driving cost optimization and coordinating excellence initiatives that intersect with transport activities.
- Define, implement, and monitor improvement projects focused on enhancing transport performance, operational excellence, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead tendering processes and negotiate contracts with service providers, establishing strong partnerships to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze and track key transport KPIs, ensure adherence to transport-related legal requirements including dangerous goods regulations, and collaborate closely with central management and European departments to drive standardization and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of transport-related key performance indicators.
- In-depth knowledge of transport-related legal requirements and compliance standards.
- Experience in operational excellence, process standardization, and handling complex logistics processes.
- High level of commitment, autonomy, and leadership capability.
- Extensive experience with tenders, contract negotiations, and managing service providers.
- Multi-year experience in the transport sector, with a strong focus on dangerous goods and the associated market environment.
- Several years of management experience in a relevant role.
- Proven track record in defining, implementing, and monitoring complex projects.
