The candidate will be a trader on the Structured Trading desk with direct PnL responsibility. The desk has a mandate to trade options, financial transmission rights as well as structured power and fuel products including but not limited to VPPs, Swings, VPS, and possibly Weather derivatives. Traders need to generate PnL through identifying and implementing trading strategies across the full range of structured power and fuel products.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to desk PnL through identifying, implementing and executing profitable trading strategies in the structured products space.
• Work with other traders and analysts to generate new ideas and strategies.
• Develop and maintain a strong market view on European energy markets (power, gas, emissions) to support directional and volatility-based trading strategies.
• Pitch strategies to senior trading management for risk capital allocation.
• Work with origination or brokers to execute strategies in the external markets.
• Be position and PnL owner throughout the entire product life cycle.
• Work with quants to ensure best possible pricing approach. Work with risk to ensure maximum transparency on inherent risk and PnL.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Relevant trading experience and strong PnL track record.
• Detailed understanding of European energy markets and interaction of commodities / markets.
• Strong understanding of structured products, pricing models and sound quantitative skills.
• Technical skills such as Python or other and database skills is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Demonstrates soft skills to be able to guide colleagues and take a leading role in the team
• Able to manage yourself and your time to be able to work under pressure and be a highly reliable contact
