The Impact You'll Make

Would you like to bring technology directly to customers and build long-term relationships along the way? As a Junior Service Application Engineer (m/f/d), you will support our customers with the commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of modern drive systems while developing into their trusted service partner.

At Danfoss Drives, you will help ensure that industrial plants operate reliably, efficiently, and sustainably. Step by step, you will take on greater responsibility for your customers and build long-lasting customer relationships.

This position can be based flexibly in the Essen, Offenbach, or Hamburg region.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will be trained and mentored by our experienced Service Application Engineers. You will gain extensive hands-on field experience and expand your knowledge of advanced drive technologies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Intensive onboarding and structured training on our drive systems and service portfolio
• Accompanying experienced colleagues on customer assignments throughout Germany and, after the training phase, taking responsibility for your own customers
• Rotating through relevant service and support functions
• Gradually developing toward independently carrying out service activities (e.g., commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades)
• Supporting customer projects and solving problems directly on site
• Building strong application expertise and customer-facing skills
  
  

What We're Looking For

• You are a qualified electrical technician with a completed vocational qualification in electrical engineering
• Ideally, you have already completed further training as a State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsman, or you are interested in pursuing this alongside your job
• Solid electrical engineering knowledge and a passion for analyzing and solving technical problems systematically
• Enthusiasm for field service work, a customer-focused approach, and strong communication skills
• Valid Class B driver’s license and a high willingness to travel: initially, travel is expected to account for approximately 40-50% of your working time and may increase as you take on greater responsibility
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills
